COMMUNITY SERVICES FIELD You are required to prepare a short report (a summary/evaluation) that describes a conflict that you think may arise in a workplace. Your report should be at least 1000 words. Your report should address the following: • Parties who may be involved in the conflict (be specific with the people) • The problem that gave rise to the conflict (what are the opposing positions of the parties involved and how did the problem escalate to the conflict) • Outcomes that each party may want to achieve (this should reflect the description of the problem) • Communication strategies that may be used in meeting with the parties involved (how would a meeting be facilitated and the strategies that would be used) • Any specific communication barriers and how they may be addressed (be specific with the barriers) • Process to be followed to resolve the conflict (what will happen to reach an agreement that works for everyone) • Agreement to be reached and/or any future actions (what is the agreement that could be reached) It is recommended that you use the above points as sub-headings.
